2111 - 2400 M (mineral landscape - 3h hike)
Departure from Tende or Castérino, 4WD drive to the Merveilles Refuge, going through the Minière (old mining site) valley.
The trail follows the Minière lake, and crosses larch forests.
After the "Upper Long Lake" site, you will start your hike to the archeologic site for the guided and commented visit of the rock engravings.
After a lunch* stop, discovery of the Forcato, Carbone and Saorgino lakes, if wanted.
You will then have the choice of driving back by the same itinerary, or to cross by foot to the Valmasque Valley,
where we will pick you up to take you back to Castérino or Tende
